Why We Can't Wait for Chicago DrupalCon!

DrupalCon Chicago is a 3-day developer conference being held in Chicago in March 2011.   Thousands of Drupal developers, including myself and someone I know as well as my own son (because he is :) will soak up three days of information and vision and inspiration. 

The DrupalCon promo material says, "It will feature dozens of curated sessions and panels from some of the most influential people and brightest minds within the Drupal community and beyond. Topics will include design and user experience, coding and development, implementation and configuration, theming, business and strategy, and the Drupal community."

I'm looking foreard to session that discuss Drupal and using CSS3 and HTML5.   There are also a number of exciting sessions about Drupal 7 - that much anticipated latest release of Drupal that just went "live" this past week. 

One of my biggest "go to" session categories is anything dealing with "theming" - the "look and feel" side of Drupal (as with any good web platform, Drupal clearly separates DESIGN from CONTENT).

I'm sure a could ramble on more in get even more geeky as I do, but suffice it to say, this 3-day focused technology immersion is exciting stuff for me.   Of course, any excuse to spend time in Chicago is appealing.
